Massive congratulations to Karl who this morning passed his Direct Access module-2 motorcycle test to finally get his full bike licence – something he’d dreamed of as a young man but never quite got around to… until now!

Great news for anyone who has taken their training with us throughout August, or who trains with us in September or October – you can get FREE tickets to Motorcycle Live!
Motorcycle Live! is the biggest motorcycle show in the UK and is held at the NEC near Birmingham this year from 28th November to 6th December. Tickets are usually £17.50 in advance or £20 on the door, so this is a really great offer!
These FREE tickets are being offered to people who take pre-test (CBT or DAS) training with us as we are an MCIAC accredited training school (the first one in the North West!). All you have to do to get your tickets is complete the survey the MCI (Motorcycle Industry Association) will send you the month after you complete your training (and tick the relevant box!).

Congratulations to Aaron, 19, who passed both his mod-1 and mod-2 bike tests this week to get his full motorcycle licence (category A2). Yet another double first for Inner Circle Training!
After yesterday’s excitement riding off-road in the Peak District, it was back to business as usual today at Inner Circle Training as we had 2 guys taking their Direct Access module 2 motorcycle tests. Needless to say that both Richard and Bernard did us proud, passing FIRST TIME and with very few faults – both having passed their module-1 motorcycle tests FIRST TIME too…
So that’s a double, double!

Thursday 20th August saw us run another of our exclusive Inner Circle off-road training days, organised in conjunction with the Adventure Bike Warehouse. Restricted to just 3 people, this course is delivered bu Gaz of ABW, who regularly races in rallye raids and is more than a little competent to teach us the skills needed to ride ‘off-road’.
Attending this time were Paul’s brother, Mick, and Piotr and Sam who took their tests together back in January. Paul was also in attendance, taking advantage of a rare day off to ride one of Gaz’ own bikes – his rather quick Husqvarna 350.
During the day we learnt how to pick up a bike (just in case!), ride standing up, how to ride over obstacles, emergency braking on dirt/loose surfaces, ascents and descents and lots more. Then after a very hearty (but perhaps not healthy!) lunch at the Yonderman Cafe, we rode several trails in the stunning Peak District. A fantastic day out that left us all a bit tired but with improved bike handling skills and a desire to find a cheap trail bike and head off into the hills…
We are pleased to announce that Inner Circle Training has developed a series of training courses aimed at riders of 125cc motorcycles or scooters who want to avoid having to repeat their CBT every 2 years!
If you have completed your CBT you will know that the certificate is only valid for 2 years, during which time you are expected to take and pass your motorcycle theory and practical (mod-1 and mod-2) tests. The usual route to doing this involves Direct Access and that means riding a bigger bike, with all the associated costs that entails.
We have recognised there is a need for a cheaper route to a full bike licence and developed a course aimed at riders who already have their own small capacity (up to 125cc) motorcycle or scooter who have no desire (or are too young) to ride a bigger bike.
Now you can train to take your tests on your own bike, with professional instruction, and even practice the tests at the Test Centre under our supervision!

Yet another happy customer for Inner Circle Training as David passed his Direct Access mod-2 motorcycle test this morning at the FIRST attempt, joining around 80% of our riders in achieving a first-time pass!
He’s now on the hunt for a Moto Guzzi V7 to ride, so let’s hope the sun continues to shine for a few months yet!
Today has been one of those glorious days as Inner Circle Training scores a hat-trick of Direct Access motorcycle test passes!
First, Nathan passed BOTH his module-1 and module-2 tests FIRST TIME and barely an hour apart, then John passed his module-2 test to go with his module-1 pass from a couple of weeks ago!
No wonder they’re both looking so happy!
Congratulations to 19 year old Jay who this morning passed his Direct Access module-2 motorcycle test FIRST TIME, to go with his FIRST TIME module-1 test pass from Monday!
He now has a full category A2 motorcycle licence and so can ride any bike so long as it doesn’t make more than 47bhp!
Well done, Jay!
